Today was a truly terrible day, haha.

I sharpened my knife a bit before starting work. As soon as I began, I felt confused because there were already stomachs at my station before I even got there. I started working and switched over to the wash section. I made about three mistakes and dropped some stomachs, which caused them to tear.

Later, I moved to the slicing section and was pleasantly surprised. My knife was so sharp that it sliced through everything perfectly. I felt great about it. I even helped Tyler because he was struggling with the wash and kept dropping stomachs.

Then, a crazy thing happened: the string of my metal glove got caught on the stomach chain. I actually flew into the air! Luckily, the string snapped, and I landed safely. It was so ridiculous, haha.

After the break, I went back to the wash section. But I dropped a stomach again. It was so heavy that I got really frustrated. I switched positions again, but then I realized I had lost my sharpened knife. I was so angry, but I had to keep going and divide the bibles. My backup knife wasn't sharp at all, making the work incredibly difficult and annoying.

Right as the next break started, I tried to wrap things up on my own, but I made a mistake—my knife flew out of my hand and fell straight into the drain. Haha, shit... So, I just did the wash section for the rest of the shift. I finished work at 2 PM.

(English Tips)

  • "I was pleasantly surprised": '
  • "Caught on the chain": '
  • "Flew into the air": '
  • "Fell straight into the drain": '
  • "Backup knife":
